2 young men wanted for attacking mother and 11-year-old son at Massachusetts mall, "They need to go to church."
Police are looking for two young men accused of attacking a mother and her 11-year-old son at the Square One Mall in Saugus, Massachusetts.
Angela Rodriguez was with her two sons and nephew Monday evening when she said she found the masked men breaking into her car in the parking lot. She said one of the men pulled out a knife and tried to take her purse while the other punched her 11-year-old son Isaac.
"What made me scared was when I saw the knife. I was very, very scared. I was thinking he was going to do something. So, I said, 'In Jesus name, stay away from us,'" Angela told reporters Tuesday night.
"I was hurt so badly," Isaac said. "After the person punched me, right here, this part of my stomach, hurts so much. I feel like pain."
Angela said she was able to push the men off before they could steal anything. She told police the men laughed as they ran away.
Saugus police have released a surveillance photo of two people they called "persons of interest" in the attack.
Police said the two appeared to be just over 18 years old. They added that there were several witnesses to the attack and they're hoping someone will call them with information.
Rodriguez's children are worried the two men might show up again.
"They need to change," she said of the men. "They need to go to church and change. Look for something else in the life. You don't need to steal somebody's things, just go work."
