Man Chases Suspect Who Set Home On Fire In Falmouth

FALMOUTH (CBS) - Falmouth police are still looking for the person who set fire to a home with the homeowner locked inside.

It happened at about 3 a.m. Thursday morning. The homeowner was awakened, and when he looked outside, saw someone setting fire to the side of his home.

He got his handgun, ran out the backdoor and fired two shots at the suspect, who apparently wasn't hit by the bullets. Neighbors saw him jump into a waiting car, and take off.

The homeowner then discovered that his front door had been jammed shut from the outside and the brake lines on his truck had been cut.

The homeowner told WBZ he had an idea of who the culprit may be, but so far, there have been no arrests.
