Fall River Man Dies After Being Struck By Two Cars

FALL RIVER, Mass. (CBS/AP) — Police say a 47-year-old Fall River man has died after being hit by two different cars on Friday night.

Police said they found the man wedged under a white Toyota when they arrived at the scene at about 10 p.m. Heavy equipment was used to free the man, who was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Witnesses told police the man had been hit first by a black Honda, and bystanders were trying to help him when he was also struck by the Toyota.

Police said the Honda driver returned to the scene and was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. The second driver has not been charged.

The investigation is continuing.
