Man Dies In Fall River Fire

FALL RIVER (CBS) -- A man died in an early morning fire Sunday.

The blaze began just before 6 a.m. Sunday on Covel Street in Fall River, the Fall River fire chief said.

The man, whose age is not yet known and who has not yet been identified, was pulled from the third floor and taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Everyone else in the building was able to get out safely. There were no other injuries.

The fire is under investigation, and a cause was not yet known--though the chief said the fire was believed to have originated on the third floor of the building.
