Ex-Braintree Man Pleads Not Guilty To 1981 Murder

DEDHAM (CBS) -- A former Braintree resident pleaded not guilty Tuesday to killing his neighbor more than three decades ago.

Keith Butler, 57, now living in Palm Harbor, Fla., was tried twice before for murder in the death of January 1981 death of Francis X. Hussey. Both trials ended in hung juries.

Hussey was found beaten to death in the kitchen of his Braintree home.

Prosecutors said Butler was indicted based on old evidence that underwent modern forensic testing.

Butler was ordered to be held on $2,500. He will be monitored by a GPS device and be required to stay in Massachusetts.
