Everett Driver Who Crashed Into Own Home Admits To Drinking

EVERETT (CBS) - The man who led police on a wild ride through Everett Thursday afternoon admits he was drinking.

Jose Pineda was charged with one count of operating under the influence Friday in Malden District Court.

A day earlier, he crashed into a couple of cars, before hitting a utility pole and then his own house.

Police said Pineda nearly struck a gas line when he hit his home.

"I drank a couple of beers, sorry. I don't say I don't drink," Pineda told reporters outside court.
