Evan Turner Reportedly Signs 4-year, $70 Million Deal With Blazers

BOSTON (CBS) -- Evan Turner is cashing in on two successful seasons with the Celtics.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Turner has signed a four-year, $70 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

That's a giant raise for Brad Stevens' now-former Mr. Everything, who earned just over $3 million annually during his two seasons with the Celtics. He played in 81 games last season, coming off the bench in all but 12 of them, averaging 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest. The former second overall pick shot a career-high 47 percent in 2015-16, playing a pivotal role for the 48-win Celtics.

Now he'll be collecting a much larger paycheck in Portland. Turner should send Stevens and Celtics' president Danny Ainge a giant fruit basket to thank them for helping revive his career.
