EMT Attacked By Woman At Boston Hotel

BOSTON (CBS) – A Boston EMT was attacked on the job Wednesday night.

Tony O'Brien has a deep gash in his left hand and scratches on his neck. He says he and his partner responded to a call at the Wyndham Hotel when they found a woman who they say got violent.

"I'm surprised at the severity of my injuries," O'Brien told WBZ-TV. "We do this quite often and most of the time we end up with the upper hand and this time it wasn't the case."

O'Brien is now waiting to see if he was exposed to any viruses like HIV or hepatitis.

Laura Elizabeth Bell of Jacksonville, Florida is charged in the attack.
