Elderly Woman Killed In Hyde Park House Fire

HYDE PARK (CBS) – An elderly woman died in a fire at a home in Hyde Park Saturday night.

Flames broke out in the single family home on Colchester Street just before 8 p.m. and spread around the basement and first floor.

Acting Deputy Fire Chief Eric Pettaway said the unidentified woman was found outside when they arrived.

Two off-duty firefighters performed CPR on the woman before was rushed to a local hospital where she later died.

Boston Fire tweeted that one "adult male was unaccounted for early on but turned up outside okay."

The state Medical Examiner's office will determine the cause of the woman's death.

There's no word yet on how the fire started.

Damage is estimated at $150,000.
