Easter Bunny 'Arrested' By Boston Police

BOSTON (CBS) – It wasn't a very "hoppy" start to the weekend for a certain Easter creature.

Boston Police "arrested" the Easter Bunny on Friday, saying the rabbit had no permit for its Easter eggs.

Police Capt. John Greland posted a series of tweets Friday afternoon, showing the Easter Bunny's brush with the law.

The bunny was shown behind the bars of a police cruiser, in a jail cell, and being "paw printed."

Children need not fear, despite the rabbit's arrest. Greland said the Easter Bunny will not be held through Sunday.

"Someone came in with 24 carrots and bailed her out," Greland told WBZ-TV.
