Second Arrest Made In Murder Of East Boston Woman

BOSTON (CBS) – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old woman who was found stabbed and beaten inside an East Boston garage.

Angel Ramos-Oliva, 21, was arrested Friday and charged with murder for the death of Blanca Lainez, who was found dead on June 15 on Princeton Street.

Prosecutors said Ramos-Oliva's arrest came thanks to private surveillance video and fingerprint analysis.

Police say a woman who is in her early 20s was found dead in East Boston. (WBZ-TV)

Jose Hernandez, 16, was also charged with murder in July.

Last week police released a photo of a woman they wanted to speak with related to Lainez's murder. She was found a short time later and interviewed.

Construction workers discovered Lainez's body inside a Princeton Street garage.

Ramos-Oliva was arraigned Friday and is being held without bail.
