Ducklings Rescued From Storm Drain In Wilmington
WILMINGTON (CBS) -- A flock of lucky ducklings were rescued by Wilmington Animal Control on Saturday after falling into a storm drain.
The Wilmington Apple reports that the 12 ducklings fell into a drain on Industrial Way, and that police were notified by bystanders after the ducklings' mother was seen "going crazy" before wandering off. Wilmington Animal Control posted photos of the rescue on their Facebook page.
Animal control officers were able to rescue the ducklings.
The Apple reports that the ducklings were almost taken to a shelter, but were reunited with their mother when she returned after being away for nearly an hour.
