Dropkick Murphys Give Surprise Performance At Logan

BOSTON (CBS) -- Before they shipped up to Dublin on Monday night, The Dropkick Murphys gave flyers an early St. Patrick's Day treat at Logan Airport.

The punk band from Quincy was on its way to Ireland for a "Celtic Punk Invasion Tour." They had just played hours earlier at the House of Blues in Boston.

"We decided to play a special show that's not on our tour schedule – Gate E4 at Logan International Airport," the group said on social media

The band performed their signature hit "I'm Shipping Up To Boston" - appropriately changing the lyrics to "I'm shipping up to Dublin."

If you couldn't catch them at the airport, you'll have another chance to see the band soon.

The Dropkick Murphys will be back in Boston on July 19 for a show at Fenway Park.
