Police put out an alert, and a tow truck driver spotted the car speeding in Holbrook.

A short time later, a Braintree officer spotted a gray Honda sedan with a shattered windshield and front-end damage on Hancock Street. The driver of the car, 28-year-old Kyle Pollard of South Boston, allegedly sped off.

"Pollard sped approximately 45 miles per hour down Garden Park, a dead end street, and nearly struck a pedestrian that was walking down the side of the road," Braintree Police said.

At the end of the road, Pollard ran into the woods. He was eventually located by a Braintree K9 officer.

Pollard was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained from the K9. He has been charged with failure to stop for a police officer, operating to endanger, operating without a license and speeding.
