DraftKings, FanDuel Reportedly Considering Merger

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston-based DraftKings is reportedly in talks to merge with its rival fantasy sports website FanDuel.

No deal has been reached yet, but Bloomberg reports that investors behind both companies are fueling the negotiations.

Proponents of a merger say that FanDuel and DraftKings offer nearly identical contests and face similar legal battles that could threaten both businesses.

Earlier this year, the two fantasy sites agreed to stop taking bets in New York amid pressure from the states' attorney general.

Neither company has commented on the possibility of a deal yet.
