Downtown Boston Transforms Into New York City For 'Ghostbusters'

BOSTON (CBS) -- If you happen to see a New York City subway stop in the heart of Boston's Financial District, or a few New York cabs, don't panic. You're not lost.

The highly anticipated all-female Ghostbusters remake is filming in Boston this summer.

Production crews have worked diligently to recreate parts of the Big Apple, but Bostonians really know, the movie is actually set in Boston.

New Yorkers will also notice a glitch in the recreation: the N/Q/R subway line does not stop at 50th street.

Dan Aykroyd, who played Dr. Raymond Stantz in the original film and the 1989 sequel, assured his Twitter followers that the remake will "deliver an exciting, high quality, massive hit movie."
