1 Dead In Dorchester Shooting

BOSTON (CBS) – A man was shot and killed on Friday in Dorchester.

The 35-year-old man was shot on Wayland Street.

Boston Police marked off part of the neighborhood with crime scene tape.

Police Commissioner William Evans said the ShotSpotter indicated five or six rounds were fired. The gunman took off after the shooting.

"Clearly it was targeted from what we see," Evans said.

The victim's identity has not been released.

About 10 minutes after the shooting, a man walked into a nearby gas station with a wound to his leg. Police are trying to figure out if it is connected to the shooting.
