Firefighters Battle Flames, Frigid Temperatures At Dorchester Blaze

DORCHESTER (CBS) – Crews battled freezing temperatures and narrow streets to knock down an early morning fire Saturday in Dorchester.

Flames broke out on Drayton Ave. after 3 a.m.

Firefighters were forced to run hoses over a car parked in the area.

The fire caused about $150,000 in damage.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury.

Four adults were displaced by the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross and Neighborhood Services.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
