Dog Rescued From Icy East Bridgewater Pond

EAST BRIDGEWATER (CBS) -- Firefighters rescued a dog trapped in an icy pond in East Bridgewater on Sunday afternoon.

The dog was chasing ducks on Forge Pond when it fell through the ice, East Bridgewater fire officials said. Within about 10 minutes, three firefighters responded to the scene with an ice sled to pull the dog to safety.

The dog appeared to be in good condition once it was back on shore and was released to its owner.
