Driver Was Looking At Phone During Crash Through Fence, Front Of House

QUINCY (CBS) -- A distracted driver was speeding and looking at his phone when he crashed through a fence and hit the front of a house in Quincy, police said.

Quarry Street from Garfield Street to Smith Street was temporarily shut down as officials investigated and cleared the scene midmorning on Tuesday.

Aziz Nacer, 34, of Quincy was charged with operating to endanger, speeding, impeded operation, marking lanes violation, and having an open container of alcohol in his car, officials said.

Pictures tweeted by Quincy Police show that the car smashed into a home's front steps after knocking down a fence.

No injuries were reported.
