Macadamia Nuts Recalled For Possible Salmonella

BOSTON (CBS) – A voluntary recall has been issued for Diamond of California macadamia nuts sold nationwide due to possible salmonella contamination.

Impacted products are 4 ounce bags of chopped nuts and 2.25 ounce bags of macadamia halves and pieces.

The chopped nuts have a UPC code of 010300345848 while the halves and pieces products have a code of 070450743918.

Salmonella can cause serious, and sometimes fatal, illness in children or elderly people.
