Patrick's personal items were for sale, including cassette tapes and graduation gowns from various commencement speeches the former governor gave.

One man purchased a graduation gown for $18.

A couple from the Milton neighborhood came away from the sale with a grand piano.

"We thought it would fit nicely in our home," the man told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Kim Tunnicliffe. "Now I've got to find a mover – fast. It's a little heavy."
