2 Deer Rescued From Icy Plympton Cranberry Bog
PLYMPTON (CBS) -- Two deer were rescued after falling through the ice at a cranberry bog in Plympton early Friday morning.
Police were called to the bog near Brook Street to help the deer, according to Plympton Police's Facebook page.
Plympton and Halifax police officers, a Plympton firefighter and an employee from the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office's Bureau of Investigation worked together to free the animals using a catch pole.
The deer, which suffered minor injuries, police say, rested for several minutes on the shore before running into the woods nearby.
