Daughter Of Boston Police Officers Shares Note Of Thanks To Department
BOSTON (CBS) -- This Thanksgiving, a 10-year-old girl wanted to let her parents know how much she appreciates them - and all their colleagues, too.
Maeve is the daughter of two Boston police officers and this Thanksgiving she let the whole department know how thankful she is for them. In a note to the department, Maeve shared her gratitude.
"Dear Police Officers," Maeve wrote, "I'm so thankful for all of you. Saving people's lives and caring for us. Thank you for protecting the city for all of us."
Boston Police appreciate Maeve and her parents, and they made that clear in a statement.
"Maeve, we thank your parents for their many years of dedicated years of service and we thank you for the sacrifices you have made as a child in a law enforcement family," the department wrote in a news release. "Most of all, we thank you for your kind and thoughtful words for all the officers of the Boston Police Department on this special day. Happy Thanksgiving to one and all - God Bless."
