Dartmouth Police Identify Alleged 'Elvis' Thief

DARTMOUTH (CBS) – Police in Dartmouth have identified an alleged thief who stood out to them due to his Elvis Presley-like snarl.

The man who Dartmouth Police referred to as "Elvis" was caught on surveillance video wearing a leather jacket as he allegedly stole about $400 worth of merchandise from Sears on Tuesday.

On Thursday, police identified him as 37-year-old Andrew Gaskell, a Rhode Island resident.

Dartmouth Police say Gaskell has 10 arrest warrants out for his arrest in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call their local police department.

In a Facebook post called an "Elvis Tour Update," Dartmouth Police had a message for Gaskell.

"The members of DPD are hoping that you will be performing another show in Dartmouth REAL soon, because we are anxiously waiting," police wrote. "Our first request, right before we send you to the Bristol County 'Heartbreak Hotel,' will be the real Kings 1972 version of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water!'"
