Daniel Paille Diagnosed With 'Mild Concussion,' Out For At Least Two Games
BOSTON (CBS) -- Bruins head coach Claude Julien confirmed Tuesday that the injury sustained by Daniel Paille on Sunday was a concussion.
The coach addressed the media in Montreal and said Paille suffered a "minor concussion" as a result of his collision with Panthers captain Ed Jovanovski.
Paille will not play Wednesday at Montreal or Thursday at home against the Phoenix Coyotes, Julien said. Paille will be evaluated during the week, and he could possibly return to the ice on Saturday at home against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Paille, 29, suffered a concussion in December as well, causing him to miss nearly three weeks at the time.
The winger has nine goals, seven assists and a plus-9 rating in 57 games this season.
Julien initially told reporters on Sunday that the injury was "not very serious. ... Hopefully, it's just a minor bump."
Paille left Sunday's game after skating just 1:20.
