62-Year-Old Charged With Assaulting Police Officers

DARTMOUTH (CBS) – A 62-year-old Dartmouth man is facing charges because police say he assaulted officers.

Dartmouth police said that during a motor vehicle stop on Cross Road early Saturday morning, Daniel Gill "became argumentative and aggressive towards officers."

Police tried to take Gill into custody due to his demeanor, but then say he physically assaulted the officers.

Eventually, Gill was restrained and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and threats to commit a crime.

No one was injured during the altercation.
