Dana White Previews Dillashaw-Cruz UFC Title Bout On Toucher & Rich
BOSTON (CBS) -- UFC president Dana White joined Toucher & Rich in studio on Friday, looking ahead to Sunday night's bantamweight title bout between T.J. Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz at TD Garden in Boston.
The two fighters joined Toucher & Rich a few months ago, and it was pretty clear they don't like each other very much. Dillashaw currently holds the bantamweight belt, but as White notes, he's never beaten Cruz.
"Cruz has actually never lost the belt. Due to injuries he couldn't defend the belt, so that's why he ended up losing it. Dillashaw came in and has been on a tear, so this is going to be a fun fight," said White. "To be the man, you have to beat the man. This is a big night for Dillashaw and to really be looked at as the real champion.
"Dillashaw is absolutey a champion; he's beaten all the guys Cruz would have had to fight if he wasn't injured. But he's got to beat Cruz," added White.
