Daily Talker: Will You Boycott Market Basket?

Workers supporting fired Market Basket CEO Arthur T. Demoulas plan to hold another rally Monday morning outside one of the grocery chain's stores in Tewksbury, as the battle between workers and management starts to affect customers.

Shoppers report finding either bare or nearly-empty shelves, and say some basic items are hard to find.

"I was looking for fruits vegetables. Couldn't find anything and they say there are many other things they won't have until it's resolved." Ana Keohane said after visiting the Market Basket location in Chelsea.

At some stores, workers have put up signs explaining that deliveries have been disrupted due to employees refusing to work until Demoulas gets his job back. At least eight long-term employees have been fired.

"Their actions continued to harm the company, negatively impacted customers, and inhibited associates' ability to perform their jobs," the company said in a statement Sunday night.

Several state lawmakers have called for an immediate boycott of Market Basket.
