Getting kids to eat healthy is a constant battle. Now, parents have lost an ally.

Some Boston schools are getting rid of salad bars.

Why? Some say the pilot program costs too much.

Others complained of sanitary concerns.

But, a good portion of the students ate it up. Enjoying the healthy, fresh selections.

Now they're gone.

And to make things worse, snacks like cookies and chips are once again being sold.

Mayor Marty Walsh says he's committed to the program and will look for ways to bring back the salad bars.
