Daily Talker: Walmart Pulls Items With Confederate Flag

Walmart announced Monday that it is removing "all items" promoting the Confederate flag for sale from its stores and its website.

The decision comes the same day that South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley says the Confederate flag should be removed from the grounds of the state capitol, reversing her position on the divisive symbol amid growing calls for it to be removed.

Haley's about-face Monday comes after nine black church members were gunned down, allegedly by a young white man who embraced the flag as a symbol of white supremacy.

"We never want to offend anyone with the products that we offer," Walmart spokesman Brian Nick said in an emailed statement.

What do you think of Walmart's decision to pull all items promoting the Confederate flag from store shelves?  Should other retailers do the same?
