Daily Talker: Star Wars Hype
It is one of the most anticipated movies of all time. Whether you're a fan or not, chances are you've seen something Star Wars-related over the past few weeks.
That hype reached a fever pitch Monday as the new trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" debuted during Monday Night Football on ESPN (ESPN is property of Disney, which also now owns the rights to the Star Wars franchise after acquiring Lucasfilm from Star Wars creator George Lucas for $4 billion in 2012).
The trailer featured new footage of the movie which hits theaters December 18th.
Tickets are already on sale and are going fast. Ticket website Fandango actually crashed Monday night.
Ahead of the release of "The Force Awakens," Star Wars merchandise, toys and gadgets have flooded stores. California's Disneyland and Florida's Walt Disney World are also getting massive Star Wars attractions.
