Daily Talker: Should Near-Naked Wellesley Statue Be Removed?

An online petition has now been launched asking Wellesley College to remove a lifelike outdoor sculpture of a man in nothing but his underpants.

It's called "Sleepwalker", and depicts a man in a zombie-like trance and nearly naked on the side of a road. It's part of an exhibit by sculptor Tony Matelli at a college museum.

Museum director Lisa Fischman wrote on the school website that the sculpture has succeeded in its goal of provoking discussion. But some students say the sculpture is frightening, and some asking that it be moved back inside.

What's your reaction to the statue? Should it stay outside or should it be moved? Share your comments below, and watch for them on WBZ News in the Morning from 4:30 - 7:00am.
