Daily Talker: Roger Goodell Skipping Season Opener

When the Patriots kick off the 2015 NFL season at Gillette Stadium next Thursday, Commissioner Roger Goodell won't be there.

It will be the first time Goodell has skipped the season opener since he took the job.

The news came hours after a New York judge overturned Tom Brady's suspension.

The NFL is appealing that decision.

A league spokesman said Goodell isn't required to attend the first game and he believes the focus should be on football and the Patriot's celebration of their Super Bowl Championship.

What do you think about Goodell's decision not to attend? Does it show poor leadership?
