Daily Talker: Oversharing On Facebook

We see them every day on Facebook. You may even be one of them. But today, there is a new warning about the consequences of oversharing on Facebook: it could doom your relationship with a significant other.

Jane Greer, Ph.D., a New York-based therapist and author, says too much emphasis on social media may indicate that the couple is less concerned with how they feel, and more about how their relationship looks to outsiders.

"People need personal space, even online," Greer told the New York Post.

Greer says what couples who are silent on social media are not missing out, either.  Distance, rather than closeness, may be the secret to a successful marriage.
