Daily Talker: New Toll Lanes?

Paying tolls is a daily thing for many drivers in Massachusetts.  People heading into Boston from the west pay to use the Mass Pike.  People driving in from areas north of the city pay to use the Tobin Bridge.  So what about drivers coming in from areas south of Boston?

Today at a meeting in Hingham, a team from MassDOT will discuss a proposal with local leaders about installing a toll lane down the middle of Route 3---a busy highway that sees its fair share of backups each morning.

The proposal being discussed today calls for the construction of two new separated lanes along a 17-mile stretch of Route 3 running from the Braintree Split to Exit 12 in Norwell.

Do you think adding toll lanes to another state highway is a good idea?
