Daily Talker: Mother Calls Daughter "Spoiled Brat" Online, Sells Concert Tickets

A North Dakota mother is getting a lot of support, and some criticism, after she tried to teach her 18-year-old daughter a lesson.

Cindy Bjerke says when her daughter's behavior got worse, she sold her tickets to a Katy Perry concert on an online garage sale page on Facebook.

"I was not going to give her the tickets. I was not going to let her go to this concert with the behavior that she's been doing," Bjerke told a local television station. "I had a header that said, 'Spoiled brat daughter doesn't deserve these tickets for sale.'"

Bjerke says her post got more than 200 likes with plenty of supportive comments, but others criticized her for handling a personal matter in a public forum.

"I don't think I'd go as far as publicly chastising my child for the whole world to see," said one post.

"Most of it has been overwhelming support, and I think that a lot of parents are like me where they feel like they're being bullied on how they should parent their own children."

What do you think of how Bjerke handled this situation? Should she have called her daughter a spoiled brat online? Share your comments below and watch for them on WBZ News in the Morning from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m.
