Daily Talker: Back Bay Canals?

A new report coming out later today will highlight the growing concern over rising sea levels and the impact on Boston due to climate change.  The Urban Land Institute says by the year 2100, sea levels may rise by as much as 7 feet in Boston.  According to the Boston Globe, the report suggests that building canals through the Back Bay---much like in Venice, Italy---would help absorb those rising waters.  What do you think of the idea to build canals in the Back Bay as a way to combat the dramatic effects of climate change?
