'Dad Of The Year' Hands Out Candy On Flight So Daughter Can Trick-Or-Treat

BOSTON (CBS) - - One dad's creative solution to make sure his daughter didn't miss Halloween on a flight from Boston to San Francisco Monday night has hearts soaring on social media.

More than 75,000 people have retweeted photos from Stephanie Kahan, who witnessed this "Dad of the year" giving candy to everyone on Virgin America Flight 357 so his little girl could trick-or-treat.

"My 3-year-old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn't be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight. . . so I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her," the note to passengers said.

"If you are willing, when my little donut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her basket. You'll be making her Halloween!"

"OMG, my heart is exploding right now," Kahan, a Twitter employee, wrote.

So many others on Twitter felt the same.

"In a world of crazy right now...thank you for reminding us what really matters. Family. Fun. Community, kindness," one user wrote.

"Cutest thing ever!!!! I'm a VX flight attendent. . . so I love this on so many levels," another said.

There's no word yet on dad's identity.
