Cyclist Struck, Killed In Sudbury During Race
SUDBURY (CBS) -- A cyclist was struck and killed by a pickup truck during a triathlon in Sudbury Sunday morning, police said.
Officials say it happened at Route 27 and Maynard Street. The victim, 53-year-old Saadin Solah, is not believed to be local to the area.
The driver of the pickup truck stopped at the scene. Police would not say if the road had been closed for the race.

Former Sen. Scott Brown tweeted that he had just finished a triathlon in the area when he learned of the crash.
Just finished the triathlon in Sudbury mass. Terrible head on collision. Prayers are with the racer and his family.

The Sudbury Spring Sprint Triathlon started at 8 a.m. Sunday morning. It involves a 400-yard pool swim, a seven-mile bike ride and 2.3-mile run, according to its website.
Police and the Middlesex District Attorney's office are investigating.
Sudbury police asked drivers to avoid the area around Maynard and Hudson roads as the crash is investigated.
"We're all aware that we are sharing the roads with cars," a racer named Adam told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. "Not all the time cars realize they are sharing the roads with cyclists."
