Cyclist Injured In Hit & Run In Wellesley

WELLESLEY (CBS) – A man on a bicycle was injured in a hit and run crash in Wellesley Friday night.

The victim, who is in his 40's, was struck at the intersection of Hampshire and Bristol roads at about 7:00 p.m.

The suspect who hit the cyclist was driving a gray pick-up truck and was said to be speeding at the time of the crash.

Police say they have identified the driver, and are trying to determine if charges will be filed.

Witnesses at the scene say the driver of the truck appeared disoriented and sped away after the crash.

The man's bicycle frame broke in half and he suffered non-life threatening injuries.

No other information has been released.
