Online Petition Aims To Save Harvard Square Curious George Store

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – The owners of the world's only "Curious George" store are hoping an online petition will help save their Harvard Square business.

A proposal by Boston Developer Equity would turn the children's store into the lobby, elevator and stairway area of a new three-story mall.

In hopes of bringing attention to their dilemma, the store's owners have created an online petition to save the store.

"In short, our building is being developed, and we'll need to move," the petition reads. "To afford a new expensive store build out, we'll need help from those who love Harvard Square."

So far, the petition has been signed by 1,800 people out of a desired 2,500.
