Frozen Food Recall: 358 Veggie, Fruit Products Could Contain Listeria

PASCO, Wash. (CBS) – Hundreds of frozen food products sold under dozens of brand names are being recalled over listeria fears.

CRF Frozen Foods announced late Monday that it's expanding its recall of frozen vegetables and fruit with best buy dates between April 26, 2016 and April 26, 2018.

The recall impacts 358 products that were sold nationwide under 42 separate brands, including Trader Joe's, Organic By Nature, McCain and Wellsley Farms.

There is a long list of the affected products on the FDA's website. Anyone who bought the recalled items should not eat them and return them to the store for a refund.

CRF says seven people from three states have been hospitalized because of Listeria, and some of those illnesses were linked to eating the recalled frozen products. Two later died, but CRF says listeria was not the cause of death.

The company has stopped production at its Pasco, Washington facility as the investigation continues.
