Coronavirus Protective Masks To Be Produced At R.I. Plant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (CBS) – A Rhode Island plant is ramping up production to make millions of N95 protective masks desperately needed during the coronavirus pandemic.

Honeywell in Smithfield is expecting to make millions of the masks.

President Donald Trump mentioned Honeywell during his Sunday news briefing.

The company says it plans to hire at least 500 new workers.
