Massachusetts Reports 2,107 New COVID Cases, 3 Additional Deaths

BOSTON (CBS) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 2,107 new confirmed COVID cases and three additional deaths in the state on Saturday.

Health officials said the total number of confirmed deaths in the state has is now 618,054. The total number of confirmed cases is now 17,034.

There were 111,370 total new tests reported.

As of Saturday, the seven-day weighted average of positive tests in Massachusetts is 2.30%.

There are 685 people currently hospitalized for a coronavirus-related illness Saturday, which is an increase of 26 since Friday. There are 178 patients currently in intensive care.

There are an estimated 35,847 active cases in Massachusetts.
