Rally Participants In Boston Call For Grocery Stores To Give Employees More Coronavirus Protections

BOSTON (CBS) – A rally was held Tuesday in Boston, calling for better protections for grocery store workers during the coronavirus crisis.

Participants lined the the parking lot and sidewalk outside the Whole Foods on Harrison Ave.

Standing six feet apart, rally participants demanded masks and gloves, fully-paid sick leave and hazard pay for workers.

No Whole Foods employees participated in the rally. The company said in a statement it already gives gloves and masks to its workers.
