Coast Guard Tall Ship Open For Free Public Tours Sunday

BOSTON (CBS) -- Sunday is the last day for the public to tour the Coast Guard's tallest ship while it's docked in Boston.

The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle is at Pier 4 in the Charleston Navy Yard, where free tours aboard the 295-foot long ship are being offered until 7 p.m.

"The Eagle is the largest tall ship flying the American flag and the only active square-rigger in U.S. government service," the Coast Guard says.

The Eagle was originally made in Germany and was taken by the United States as a war reputation after World War II.

The ship is now used to train cadets and will next sail to New York City.
