Coast Guard Rescues Fisherman Struggling To Breathe On Ship Off Nantucket

NANTUCKET (CBS) — The Coast Guard used a helicopter to save a fisherman off the coast of Nantucket.

The agency said Friday that it was called Wednesday to evacuate a crew member off the fishing vessel Jean Marie because he had trouble breathing. The ship was 58 miles southeast of Nantucket at the time.

The helicopter crew safely hosted the man off the vessel and brought him to Hyannis Airport. He was then taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
