Clinton, Trump Widen Lead On Super Tuesday

BOSTON (CBS/AP) — Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump widened their lead over their rivals on Super Tuesday.

Clinton carried Georgia, Virginia, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and Massachusetts while Bernie Sanders won his home state of Vermont as well as Oklahoma, Minnesota and Colorado. Sanders pledged to stay in the Democratic race.

Republican Donald Trump won in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Virginia and Massachusetts. The biggest prize, Texas, went to home state Senator Ted Cruz. Cruz also won in Oklahoma.

Marco Rubio captured his first win at the Minnesota caucuses.
