Child Seriously Hurt In Fall From Holliston Window

HOLLISTON (CBS) -- Fire officials say a child was seriously hurt after falling 10 feet from a window of a Holliston home on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters, police and EMS were called to Mohawk Path at 12:55 p.m. First responders examined the toddler and decided to have the child helicoptered to a trauma center.

The child was taken to a landing zone in Ashland before being taken by MedFlight to Boston Children's Hospital. The child's age and current condition are unknown.

Fire chief Michael Cassidy says the incident serves as a sober reminder for all parents to do their part to make their home safer.

"The use of home safety devices, such as guards on windows that are above ground level, can help keep a busy, active child from taking a dangerous tumble," he said in a statement.

Police are investigating the incident.
